  • Barry and Deb are the most awesome hosts. The property is in a beautiful setting with the Elk River right across the road. Complete seclusion was exactly what we were looking for. Saw deer routinely behind us from Bears Den Cabin which was incredibly clean, cozy and comfortable. Felt like we were visiting family. Will definitely be back whenever we are in the area. Close to the great outdoors!

  • Our cabin was so cozy and relaxing, a perfect snowy get away! We really felt at home with the kids too and would love to visit again, maybe in the summer next time!

  • Most fun my wife and I have ever had on horseback. What a wonderful place. If I could give it 20 stars I would.

  • My dad owned this place 30 years ago and is still awesome, well maintained and upgraded.

  • Given the choice of cruising the high seas or horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains, I choose the latter every time. Elk River Guest Ranch has all the amenities of the other (gourmet food, spa bath robes, alternative activities, concerts), but the breath taking views of mountain lakes, aspen glens, elk, and moonlit nights are not to be missed. We were perfectly matched with a horse for the week and regaled with tales of their personalities and adventures. The horse does all the work. Just sit back and appreciate your surroundings.
