Mocassin Lake Nature Park Reviews & Ratings

  • This place is awesome all kinds of wildlife everywhere... nice trails shade included..lots of photo opportunity..a great place to explore Florida's landscape for all ages. I love visiting the local parks and this place really delivers... beautiful butterfly garden and Penelope the eagle are a couple my favorite things here. Honestly there are suprises everywhere... highly recommend visiting.

  • Today I went to this park and was pleasantly surprise. I wanted to walk a trail in a shady area and this park was recommended. First, a couple of wandering peacocks just happened to be at the gate when we arrived. Before going on the trails, there were various displays with different varieties of owls, plus a culture and an American Bald Eagle. All were there for rehab or because they could no longer survive in the wild. There was a butterfly garden. The trails were an easy walk and mostly wide except on the boardwalks. Not too much in scenery but it was nice and shaded. The park was well kept and had a lot to offer considering there is no admission fee.

  • Awesome place to hang out and enjoy nature in Pinellas County. Nice trials and lake. Incredible staff and volunteers.

  • Exceptional site! Lovely grounds with winding shell paths meander through native foliage to a lovely lake. Birds of prey exhibits are educational and the volunteers are well versed. There is a wonderful butterfly garden and a large gopher turtle graced us with his presence as we enjoyed the butterflies and flowers. A highly recommended half day outing.

  • This little pocket-sized park is such a nice surprise to visit in the middle of Clearwater! The birds are neat, especially Elvis the vulture. Nice playground for children.
