West Side Market, Cleveland Reviews - Write a Review
Cool, historic location with a variety of food merchants indoors from pastries to meats. The outdoor market has fresh produce vendors. Unique foods at good prices. Produce deals at the end of the day. But shop the neighborhood first! Lots of cool places to eat and meet with friends before shopping the market.
I love this place purely because of the atmosphere and to watch people. Having said that...the produce and pastries leave much to be desired. I suppose there are some vendors that sell fantastic food products...but I haven't found them yet. Still, this place is a piece of Cleveland history and always worth a visit.
Dohars for smoked pork chops and authentic Hungarian Sausage. There's a spot on the last row to the left and about halfway down that has phenomenal authentic head cheese cooked in the pig stomach just like the old world. Absolute must stop for any local or tourist! I fly into Cleveland (3 times now) specifically to get meat from here and bring it to Myrtle Beach! Brought home 58 pounds this go round!
Our First Trip to Cleveland, OH. Most review sites recommend Westside market. We were not disappointed. Just walk around the market and chit chatting with business owners, sampling all kinds of goodies. ( Shopping should be like this. We are going terribly wrong with big box stores) It's a busy market with all kinds of pastries, fresh fruits, meat, cold cuts, fresh juices, dried fruits & nuts. It is very good place to spend your Saturday mornings. With breakfast and coffee you can sit in the balcony and watch vendors and buyers in big picture. Love it. Certainly going back there again.
Very nice market. Awesome vegetables and meats available. Great food options and pre-made dinners & appetizers to cook at home. Many bacon choices too! I would recommend this market to others. Enjoy!
