Nestled in the southern part of the city, the Alexandru Borza Botanical Garden was established by Samuel Brassai in 1872. The garden is also a research and teaching center apart from being a prominent tourist hub. Spanning over an area of about 14 hectares, the place is home to the Japanese Garden, Roman Garden, and over 10,000 plants from across the world. A favorite among nature lovers, the park is divided into sections like medicinal, systematic, economic, phytogeographic, and ornamental each offering unique features and species.
