Falls View Park Reviews & Ratings
Really beautiful spot. Easy to find and nearby parking. I'm happily surprised that there is not all sorts of touristy stuff for sale on the grounds. A few benches, but not much space for picnicking.
The park could really be amazing if worked on. The view of the waterfall looks small in pictures, its much bigger in reality, kinda surprising when you get to see it. The place looked like it was not taken care of. It's a very small park, you can't spend much time here, there really isn't anything to do. The main advantage of this park is the view, and it could really be amazing.
A total hidden gem. Its free to park and sitesee. Excellent time spent. The falls is much larger than I expected.
Its impressive. But the lookout is a good distance away from the falls and water. Would be much nicer if u could get closer
One of the best places to go in Cohoes. The park is amazing but closed off in winter months. Timing can be found near the entrance. The park basically carries one to the spill way of the hydro power plant which is a couple hundred feet below the asphalt pavement one parks their vehies on. Actually, there is a small parking lot opposite the park entrance so parking usually, is not an issue. The park starts from a bridge that goes over the canal/river then a winding road down and finally a loooong stair case then more winding road and finally ends at a nice platform over the spill way. You get good exercise from the whole thing. NOT recommended for people with health issues.
