Hohlandsbourg Castle, Colmar Reviews - Write a Review
A castle in ruins. They were able to preserve some parts of it and opened this for tourists. Still worth the visit if you are passing by Wintzenheim. Medieval food available here and a museum.
This was an amazingly informative castle/military fort. It has a 360 degree view that is stunning. There are fantastic "points of interest" plaques all around with a small restored museum with artifacts. The family had a great time.
Why make such a beautiful castle ruin into a pirate playground, I did not pay to see a playmobile exposition
I thought it was very well preserved. It is one of the Chateaus that I remember most (alongside Villandry another person favorite). The view is quite impressive and the castle really dominates the area making for easy and excellent photo opportunities. I would allow about a full hour. 2 if you want to take it easy and really explore.
Great views! Unfortunately, the opening hours are not too visitor's friendly.
