Spread across 3 floors, the Musee du Jouet et du Petit Train is a delightful place full of activities for children and adults alike. The museum was created when the City of Colmar made the acquisition of Georges Trincot's prime collection. On display are toy automata, dolls, cars, boats, planes, steam engines and a lot more. Do watch the computer-controlled puppet show ‘The Fox and the Stork’. Trai lovers will be spellbound by the 1 kilometre train network and the locomotive ‘Britannia’.

  • I've never been to a toy museum, so I found this one very interesting. They have chess and checker boards and a puzzle which can be used by the visitors. There are lots of old toys on display (obviously): old Monopoly games, dolls, little toy figures, you name it. But the best part was probably the massive clockwork train on the top floor. Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory would have loved it!

  • Very cool journey trough time by means of toys from the past. You learn how old you are... :)

  • Better than Expected...in addition to historic toys, there were play areas for small kids, a number of games to play included computer ones.

  • Nice museum to visit with kids! Small but interesting.

  • Here are a lot of interesting toys. I think i'd like to visit the museum another time
