Rautenstrauch-joest-museum - Review
The Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum is the ultimate melting pot of all ethnologies. The museum’s staggering amounts of artifacts and photographs will provide you with an in-depth analysis of cultures of Oceania, Asia, Africa and the Americas. What sets the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum apart from any other of its kind is their approach to presenting the different cultures up for understanding and exploring. Not only have they used state-of-the-art multimedia presentations but also presented a comparative study between cultures to aid better comprehension. There are very places where you can learn about “Man & His Worlds”.

Rautenstrauch-joest-museum, Cologne Reviews
Great museum with a surprising exhibition on different cultures around the world. Plenty of interactive exhibits and demonstrations, and very well organised. One of the best museums in cologne for sure. Good for both adults and kids. There are plenty of lockers, free restrooms and underground parking. The museum shop is small but has some things you would not find anywhere else. Plan for at least 2h in the museum, or 3h if you want to take a lot of pictures or are bringing kids who ask a lot of questions.
Awesome! Great use of light, placement, and technology. This museum presented a viewpoint not often seen in anthropological museums: recognition of past wrongs. The items on display are fantastic.
Very good ethnographic museum with very nuanced and detailed explanation. Would absolutely recommend.
Very interesting collection from all over the world. The ones you rarely see in museums in Europe.
Mastercard is apparently too unusual a payment method for this museum. I had no cash, so was turned away.
