Used to be this market was open only on Thursdays. Probably out of an urge to be 'good' they are now open on all days. Actually, they call themselves 'good' for a very specific reason. Via an intensive screening process, every item of food - fruits, vegetables, rice, spices, coconut, tea - that makes into the shelves of this market is entirely organic. They food is entirely devoid of any synthetic additives. And the packaging is entirely environmentally benign. And all of the same rules apply to their skin and body care section. There is also a small handicrafts section of locally produced craft. Check out their health food counter. Seated around the market you'll also find various artists - henna, portrait artists, and masseurs. All things considered, the atmosphere here is so nice, people actually come to hang out.
- There is an extra Good Market on Saturday in the Nuga Tree Car Park behind the Ministry of Sports and next to the Colombo Racecourse.
- Take a tuk-tuk, taxi, or local bus to here.
- Drive or walk to here.
- Philip Gunewardena Mawatha Bus stop.

I have been visiting Good Market for a few years. Previously I had great customer service and was satisfied. I normally come here to have coffee do some reading and relax. Today as I walked in rather than a good morning or how can I help you, the first thing one of the guys who was serving coffee came up to me with a very intimidating question you'd ask from someone loitering was what do you want. And I said that I came to get coffee. It might have been one of his off days but even while serving the coffee he came out as a very rude person. And while I was having my coffee and reading he came up to me and said that if other customers walk in I'll have to leave, (Something which no one has ever told me at good market) and I complied saying okay that if anyone comes I'll leave. Few minutes later he got me to stand up saying he needs to clean and took his time to clean up after which I was very disappointed and upset as to what happened to the friendly customer service I had previously. Normally I wouldn't fuss about small issues I've had. But this time I spoke to the manager who's name was Charith. I would still visit again and hope not to find such a poor disappointing customer service by one person who can ruin the whole image of the brand Good Market. Hope to see changes been made. Cheers.
Nice place to visit. Good cakes and biscuits. Coffee is weak. I suggest they reduce the cup size with the same quantity of bean to make it stronger at no additional cost (except buying smaller cups and saucers ).
Good place to buy eco friendly products. Some of the items may be expensive. Also a good place to hang out on Saturdays, good food guaranteed
A decent place to get goods in a community based concept. Item/food prices are a bit high side but in very good quality.
Arrived here my accident looking for the actual Good Market. Staff is friendly, food and drinks of superb quality, and they let us store our luggage at the place while wandering around in the area.
