Columbia tourism never really picked up, given its reputation as a quaint college-town, with peculiar departmental stores run by families. But today with the basketball scene really picking up in the city and a rise in the student population of the city, Columbia’s several attractions are being explored like never before. So, what should you head to the first once you are in the city? Undoubtedly the Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden with its ever increasing and constantly improvising structure, t is no surprise that you may find it an absolute sold-out on a typical spring day. Then we suggest taking a tour of the South Carolina State House that will certainly bowl you over with its amazing architecture.
