This 9 acre park is a terrific place to relax in downtown Columbus. It's not merely a green space. Chock full of amenities, the park can easily entertain you (so long you don't ask for excitement) for a whole day. There park gardens are carefully planted with flowers for every season, pretty places frequented by birds and butterflies. The shady outdoor Reading Room is fun for kids, and adults can make use of the free WiFi. For kids, there's a hand carved 20 seater carousel. Two excellent cafes - Tortilla and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams - will keep you nibbling and cool. And finally, you never know what might be on for free at the Pavilion (unless you've checked before hand on the park website).

Columbus Commons Reviews & Ratings
Beautiful public space. We really enjoyed the free concert night featuring St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Nice variety of food trucks to choose from. Family friendly. People are able to bring blankets and chairs.
We've seen a few shows here and the venue is spot on. Not a bad view in the theater (in our opinion). The theater is always a nice environment-never too hot or stuffy. Sound is excellent from anywhere you sit. We love it here!
Very beautiful park. Walked around one night after visiting Dirty Frank's. I felt completely safe while walking around even though it was dark outside. There were bicycle safety patrols in the area as well as many people walking around. I have never been to any of the events here, but wouldn't hesitate to visit again!
Such a pretty area! The lawn is definitely that good "barefoot" grass. Food truck days are fun despite food trucks being more expensive than actual restaurants now for some reason. Wish there was more shaded seating/standing area, especially given the size of crowds that are drawn here.
The commons hold a special place in my heart. I work next to the commons and they are perfect for those times in the workday when you just need to take a walk and breathe. Maybe sit on one of those rocking chairs and watch the grass sway in the breeze.
