Named after German poet Friedrich von Schiller, the park is perhaps the crowning gem of the German Village area. There are all the usual amenities - gazebo, picnic spots, a basketball court, a tennis court, a fishing pond, flower gardens and softball field. But what sets the park apart is how utter charming it is. It's not just pleasant, it's cute! Check out the statue of the poet himself. One of the more intriguing features is the statue of the Umbrella Girl. She's the replacement of the statue of the goddess Hebe, which went missing from the park. In the amphitheatre, courtesy of Actors' Theatre of Columbus, you can catch free Shakespeare performances.

  • Such a cute park with a lot of beautiful scenery. The waterfalls and pond are very relaxing. Plenty of benches and picnic tables to enjoy. Worth taking the time to walk through

  • By far my favorite park in Columbus. They have some nice tennis courts, great houses to look at on the perimeter, and fun events like Shakespeare in the park. There are some wonderful places to grab a coffee nearby as well (wynan's, fox in the snow), so make sure to get something and enjoy a stroll.

  • This is such a nice and fun place to walk. While I was out here I was able to see a couple ducks walking around and swimming in the lake. This place is very cute and inviting would definitely come here again.

  • Great park. There is a small playground here for the kids. It is not very shaded so bring suntan lotion. The rest of the park is pretty shaded. Plenty of tables and benches to sit at. Nice little pond to watch ducks and geese. There is a sports building as well as tennis courts outside. There is even a little theater there where they do plays. very nice park in German village.

  • This park is awesome! I'm pretty sure that if you joh the perimeter it is one mile. It has a nice little park for kids to play. The duck pond is adorable and reminds me of a piece of the country right in the middle of the city. The flowers and foliage are beautifully kept and it's a great friendly atmosphere. Doggies are welcome!
