This forest park is somewhat less glamorous than the other green spaces inside the city… but it is much bigger. Its 716 acres of oak, hickory and beech trees, and a 14 acre pond, are not landscaped, but they do have the usual amenities you'd expect. There's a 3.8 mile running trail lined with benches and trash cans and the occasional sign telling you which wildlife and plants to be on lookout for. In addition to that there are multiple nature trails. Large open fields are good areas to play ball, and children will have fun at their playground. You can fish in the lake, grill in one of the shelters. In winter, there's a hill perfect for sledding. Bird watchers will have decent time spotting out the avian population.

A superbly large lake and an endless collection of trees of different kinds make the whole location of Sharon Woods Metro Park stunning. You can find trees like beech, oak, and hickory in large numbers here. You and your little ones will be delighted and surprised to spot a lot of amphibians around the waterbeds. You can come here to enjoy a wonderful picnic with your loved ones and domesticated cats and dogs can also accompany you on this trip. Multiple recreational activities such as biking and sledding can also be enjoyed by you here. At the waterbeds, you and your companions can spend hours enjoying fishing. You will surely have a memorable day here.
