Topiary - the art of plant sculpture. This is unusual enough for an attraction in a city. But this park in particular is unique because it was designed in imitation of a famous painting - Georges Seurat's post impressionist, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. The elements in topiary include 52 people, eight boats, three dogs, a monkey, and a cat. There's a pond in the painting too, but they've used actual water for that. Close to the entrance of the park, there's a bronze plaque casting of the painting. Stand to its left, and you'll see the exact image replicated by the park as the painter saw it. This is the only park of its kind in the world. It's also a pleasant place for a stroll. You can contact park administration to reserve a docent led tour.

Topiary Park Reviews & Ratings
Very pleasant place to walk near the heart of the city. It is fun to see a painting brought to life. We realized more deeply this time unlike the painting of Sunday in the Park you can change the perspective. Moving around and viewing it from different angles changes the experience.
Topiary Park is really great place.. it has life size shapes of humans and animals. including some boats. nice place to take pictures and having fun time.. perfect for babies. it’s just beside Columbus library so you have handout reading books all days long..
Beautiful scenery, quaint, park right in the city. Gift shop was closed so don't go by hours on building. Scenery straight out of an artistic painting. Great place to do a little walk, eat lunch and rest for a bit.
The topiary park is definitely a favorite of mine. It is absolutely beautiful! A great place for photography projects, reading, and the outdoor activities. PB & Jazz as well as the movie series that they hold during the summer are wonderful and some of my favorite things to do during the season.
Lowkey park, would be a nice spot for picnics or just hanging out on a sunny day. It feels pretty bland outside of a small area of the park, but that's coming from somebody who is from the country and used to constant greenery, so seeing any greenery like this park in the city is probably nice and refreshing for local residents. The hedge sculptures and flower bushes are the obvious shining stars of Topiary Park, and made it much worth the visit.
