Topiary - the art of plant sculpture. This is unusual enough for an attraction in a city. But this park in particular is unique because it was designed in imitation of a famous painting - Georges Seurat's post impressionist, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. The elements in topiary include 52 people, eight boats, three dogs, a monkey, and a cat. There's a pond in the painting too, but they've used actual water for that. Close to the entrance of the park, there's a bronze plaque casting of the painting. Stand to its left, and you'll see the exact image replicated by the park as the painter saw it. This is the only park of its kind in the world. It's also a pleasant place for a stroll. You can contact park administration to reserve a docent led tour.
