  • This was my first visit here since it was a garden centre. The place itself is in a great setting, nice atmosphere inside, stone walls, beams, fire blazing. The staff were relaxed and really friendly. The food was excellent! If anyone thinks that Welsh Rarebit is just cheese on toast, you need to eat here; by far the best I have ever tasted. Four of us really enjoyed the visit. Compliments to the chef and all who have a role in running the place.

  • When Seiont nurseries was still open to the public, I used to love bringing my gran to look at the plants, picking up a few gardening bits and bobs, stopping in for lunch at the Mill. Now that the nursery is closed, we're forced to go elsewhere for our plants (and therefore, the accompanying lunch), and the Mill has now become a very occasional visit as it rarely comes to mind. I think this is probably the case for a lot of old Seiont customers too; other garden nursery cafes are always *heaving* with customers, whilst the few times I've been to the Mill, it has been eerily quiet, with us as the only customers. It's a real shame as this cafe used to be bustling with people. It's especially sad as the food here is delicious, and so much more interesting than the typical garden nursery cafe.
