Coonoor as we know is famous for tea plantations. The locals are very co-operative and helping. They will guide you through the tea plantations and eventually the tea making factories. The place is drenched with the smell of fresh tea being brewed. This is a 50-year-old estate that offers you a day with tea and to understand your favorite drink. Highfield Tea Factory, Coonoor Reviews - Write a Review

  • Memorable experience.Friendly staff .They tells you the process of tea making if you ask . You can roam inside the factory without buying ticket. Different samples of Tea are kept outside the factory. You can taste them. There is a shop nearby from where you can purchase tea, natural oils, chocolates and many different spices. Masala tea is the best. There is a Church little above the tea factory.

  • Got a really nice and free tour from James and some free tea afterwards. Definitely recommend this place!

  • Local guide - Mr. Robert briefed us on the process of drying, grading and packing the tea leaves. There is a Eucalyptus oil processing unit; he briefed us on that too. 300 Kg green leaves will yield 4 liters of oil. It was a good experience.

  • Greeny, mind peaceful place.if u want to spend more time, then you should hire or take rental bike

  • High Field Tea Factory- you will be approached by someone or the other who will take you through the tea factory and the whole process of making Tea. They also have a outlet where Tea is sold, I was a little hesitant to buy anything from there after reading some bad reviews but when I went back home and made some Masala Tea for myself. One sip and I was like WOW! Apart from Tea they also sell Oils - Eucalyptus, Almond, Coconut which is all extracted from the nearby factory. I picked up Almond oil which is again very good. Highly recommended. Way to go High Field!
