This is the place where Shakespeare based his Hamlet. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built as a fortress in the 15th century that went through multiple rebuildings and expansions. Today, there is much to see here. The grounds are excellent for just strolling around. You’ll get to se the any displays inside the castle, but also go through the underground siege areas. The tour guides here are amazing, full of dramatic flair and deep insight into the place’s history. Bewarned, there is a lot of alking to do here.

Decent admission prices and a good place for a quick visit! The cellars are a must. Bring a flash light :)! Awesome view from the Cannon Tower! On a sunny day you can easily see Sweden.
Such a great experience, rich in culture. The live "clips" of Hamlet performed was a wonderful addition, and the views from the tower were fantastic. Worth the trip to get there (around 1.5 hours with public transport).
It is a very nice castle with the additional charming that it is the Hamlet play castle and has a large tradition. The patestries of the castle are the most interesting and valuable collection. The view from the top of the tower over the narrowed sea and the old canyons is amazing. Worth to visit.
Strolled around the castle at night. It gives an eere atmosphere and once on the outer perimeter you can see all the lights from Sweden reflecting on the water. Perfect for long exposure shots with a tripod :)
Great castle with unique history. There are several routes. All are worth visiting. I suggest to take a lamp (or a mobile with LED) to the undergound chambers. The exhibition consist of unique tapestries, furniture, paintings. The history is well described. The castle is also unique for Hamlet. It is definitely worth visiting.
