The Kunstforeningen GL Strand is a modern art gallery known to host some of the best art pieces in Copenhagen. The gallery focuses on giving a platform for Danish and International contemporary artists and with His Royal Highness Crown Prince of Denmark being the patron of the museum, you can easily understand the calibre of art portrayed here.
The place does not have a permanent exhibition and its change is what makes the place so unique. From ultra modern exhibits that include sculptures, lights, paintings and abstract art to the annual Kubrick Festival that screens films, concerts and hosts intense debates- the gallery is the place to be if you adore art in any form. The courtyard of the gallery is loved for its rustic ambience while the in-house shop is apt to buy a new art addition for your home. Do stop by at the gallery café for a cup of coffee before you leave.

So good... Makes me want to reevaluate my previous 5 star reviews of other places. The café by the front desk is nice and quiet, next to the 'book store'... There's WiFi and the service is astonishingly good. They make you feel very welcome.
Saw an amazing exhibition of Vogue photography that was brilliantly curated. The building and exhibition space are also very nice.
A lovely building but there was only really 1 exhibition which was over a few floors but a small collection in total (so I’d suggest checking their website before you decide to go, to make sure you’re interested in it). Totally overpriced. I just about eeked out 1 hour in there.
Enjoyed the Stanley Kubrick exhibition here. An absolute pleasure.
Wonderful place to wiew art and have a drink.
