Located in the former Naval barracks in Copenhagen, Nyboder (which means Small House) is a row-house district and a major tourist attraction. Built with an aim to provide accommodation to the families of the rapidly growing Royal Danish Navy and their families, this housing district was first built by Christian IV. Originally painted in red and white, today these houses are referred to as "Nyboder Yellow" due to the different hues of yellow. Over the years, Nyboder has housed enlisted personnel of the Danish Navy, Army and Air Force but starting 2006, this housing was open to civilians as well. Attractions here include: Nyboder's Church, Edouard Suenson Memorial, and Christian IV statue.
Important attractions of the city include Church Of Our Saviour, Davids Samling, Grundtvigs Kirken, Copenhagen Opera House and Assistens Cemetery. You can also discover other things to do in Copenhagen on TripHobo.
