This beautiful and historic waterway is a tourist favorite. It’s said to have been a favorite haunt of Hans Chritian Anderson. Today, it’s colorful, centuries old buildings, quaint boats, harbour and restaurant give a good feel of what a traditional seafaring neighborhood looks like. There are heaps of cafes where you can just sit down and people watch. In the evening, the place gets very romantic. Its quiet, yet festive; a unique Copenhagen neighborhood. If you feel like it, take the canal cruise for about EUR 7.50, which comes highly recommended.
