Ruins Under Christiansborg Palace - Review
At the time when establishments of the present Christiansborg Palace was taking place, labourers struck upon the remains of more aged edifices and the leftovers of a window ornament divider. Specialists were brought in from the National Museum, and a nearby examination uncovered that the vestiges dated over the extent of 1167.
This was infact at one time Bishop Absalon's Castle, once arranged on a little island off the Merchants' Habour. Strolling around this underground site, you will get a thought of how the manor was consistently recharged and developed.
The Copenhagen Castle, based on the same site, was encompassed by a channel and had a substantial tower as a door entryway. The château was modified numerous times. Ruler Christian IV added a tower to the building, the scandalous Blue Tower, where just noticeable detainees of state were kept. This historic site has been home to probably the most important figure in Danish history and is hence one of the most important sites in Denmark. These ruins are currently undergoing renovations and are hence closed down till 2014.
