The Viking Ship Museum - Review
The government of Denmark has dedicated a national museum to their ships and the museum is known as The Viking Ship Museum. Situated beside the Roskilde Fjord, the museum exhibits the ancient Danish sea faring traditions. It was built to show those five Viking ships which were sunk in 1070 to protect the Roskilde Fjord from pirates. The place is a children favorite, as they have much to explore.

The Viking Ship Museum, Copenhagen Reviews
What a lovely and peaceful place to walk around and take in, and admire the fascinating history of the vikings. And to actually see real exhibits of original viking boats found in the seas nearby is absolutely mind blowing. This is really a great museum to learn from. And you can see, there's a lot of work building and restoring going on too.
The summer is probably the time when the Viking Ship Museum is at its best, with its outdoors activities and its huge windows allowing in such an amount of daylight it almost feels like you are right on the beach just outside. The exhibits are impressive and well preserved. The explanations are comprehensive and very informative. Additionally, a video can be watched in the audiovisual room for general information about the ships' history. A great way to spend one or two hours in Roskilde.
Very interesting museum about the vikings, their ships, as well as maritime archeology. You can leisurely walk around to look at the ships or take part in various handcrafts. The rebuild ships using old methods and technologies are really spectacular.
This is a great place for families. There is plenty to learn and see. You can make your own little boats, see a replica being accurately made, and eat a good halibut sandwich. I enjoyed sailing with a team of about 10 oarsmen.
That's an interesting museum!! There are 5 original Vikings boat and you can learn about this culture. In the garden there are done Game form play!
