This National park was developed in the early 20th century and covers an area of about 17 hectare (43 acre). The rose garden is immensely popular and the city Zoo was incorporated in the park. Later, the alluring Greek style amphitheatre, the artificial lake with a significant bridge and fountains add up to the charm of the place.

The Parque Sarmiento is an adjacent location to have a quick nap after visiting Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Emilio Caraffa or the Teatro del Libertador General San Martin.
