The highest peek in Corfu, Mont Pantokrator is a popular pilgrim spot for the Transfiguration of Christ Church built in the 17th century. The Mount is located 30 kilometers to the North-East of Corfu and takes around 2 hours for a return journey.

The Mount Pantokrator summit is located at a height of 906 meters and offers a splendid view of the whole Corfu Island and Albania.

On an exceptionally clear day, you can also see Italy, even though it is 130 kilometers away! The old town of Perithia (an abandoned village) can also be seen from the summit.

    • The best way to reach the mountain would be to go via road by hiring a taxi or renting a car. The approximate distance between the two is 51 to 65 kilometers depending upon the route you choose to take. A good place to start the hike is the 14th-century village named  Old Perithia located on the northern foothills of the mountain.
