The ancient ruins of the Palaiopolis Archaeological Site used to be the central area of the Island and a majority of the public activities were arranged here.
Today the archeological site showcases ruins of Roman Baths, a Cathedral, the Temple of Kardakiosamong other buildings. The place was excavated a couple of decades back and all its important finding are showcased at the Mon Repos Palace Museum.
