Everyman Palace Theatre, Cork Reviews
You have got to love this quirky theatre. A heritage site in Cork city it's the oldest purpose-built theatre in the city and for many years was a hugely popular cinema called the Palace Theatre. It's a small-ish theatre (650) but the views of the stage are great from the majority of the seats. The well maintained decor of the theatre hall adds to the authenticity of the experience. Along with the reasonable pricing this is well worth a visit if you're in Cork for a bit of art and culture (or even the occasional comedy gig)
Saw "Waiting for Godot". It was awesome and all the actors were really talented. The acoustic was pretty good too. The seats are comfortable but the bathrooms may need more care. Over all it's a proper place to see plays.
I've been going here for a long time and I've always enjoyed this sense of homeliness in the foyer and the theatre. The bar area is surprisingly nice considering it's a theatre! The prices are usually quite reasonable too. Haven't noticed the hospitality so obviously it hasn't stood out in any baf way!
Love this theatre real old world. They always have great shows on😘
A lovely place, small enough to feel near the stage. Old style, in need of a little renovation but very comfortable and cozy feeling.
