Everyman Palace Theatre - Review

Opened in 1897, the Everyman Palace Theatre stands true to its name- palace theatre! One of the few old theatres which still function in Ireland, tourists love to catch a live performance here only to have a peek in Ireland’s theatrical past.

The Victorian architecture with royal red velvet interiors is sure to make you feel like royalty while the performances here are a treat to share a space with. Watch the artists shine on stage while you take in the epical ambience of the place.

  • It's a beautiful space and really enjoy the performances here. staff are friendly and atmosphere is lovely. only thing I would have a complaint about is the use of plastic cups and straws in the bar. I understand its to take drinks inside, but an alternative would be great.

  • Recently we went to see “Waiting for Godot” at the Everyman. It was a great night and an amazing performance. The Everyman theatre has a Victorian style. It’s one of the oldest building in cork (it was built in 1840). I loved the ceiling! The staff were very helpful, smiling and greetin when we arrived and when we left. Really worth a visit!

  • Beautiful compact theatre in cork city, stages plays, musical performances, comedians and everything in between. Much loved by all in the city and county cork, lovingly run by hardworking, passionate people.

  • You have got to love this quirky theatre. A heritage site in Cork city it's the oldest purpose-built theatre in the city and for many years was a hugely popular cinema called the Palace Theatre. It's a small-ish theatre (650) but the views of the stage are great from the majority of the seats. The well maintained decor of the theatre hall adds to the authenticity of the experience. Along with the reasonable pricing this is well worth a visit if you're in Cork for a bit of art and culture (or even the occasional comedy gig)

  • Saw "Waiting for Godot". It was awesome and all the actors were really talented. The acoustic was pretty good too. The seats are comfortable but the bathrooms may need more care. Over all it's a proper place to see plays.
