Also known as the Mohawk mountain state park, Mohawk State Forest covers an area of over 4,000 acres in the southern Berkshires, Litchfield, Cornwall and Goshen towns of Connecticut. Managed by the Connecticut Department of energy and environmental protection, this state forest is primarily used for picnicking, hiking and winter sports. The major points of interest here include Black Spruce Bog, Cunningham tower, Mohawk mountain, Mohawk pond, and the red mountain.
