The place has a mortuary and cemetery where Veterans are laid to rest respectfully. You can also find the graves of famous personalities like John Wayne, Bijan, Linda Marie Bailey Brown, Edmund Burns, William C.P Austin, Les Baxter, Jeanne Carmen, Dorothy Dare and Bobby Hatfield here among other stars.

The park covers the slopes of the Rancho San Joaquin and offers a stunning view of the Newport Beach harbour, San Clemente Island, Catalina Island, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Locals come here for admiring the view of the city from the park, to take leisurely walks around the entire stretch or to simply pay respect to the departed souls that are buried here.
