Council Grove Lake is a reservoir that helps in recreational, water quality control, and flood control in the state of Kansas. This reservoir is constructed on the Neosho River in June 1960 and is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The lake is home to a wide variety of fish such as white bass, black bass, catfish, wiper, crappie etc. There are also eight parks and a campground around Council Grove.
