Crete is an island and hence resplendent in tremendous marine life. The marine life of the sea that surrounds Crete has been collected and preserved for display in the aqua world Aquarium. Ideal for kids as well as elders, this place is where entertainment, learning and conservation come together.

Local Sealife as well as reptilian species can be seen here. In fact, you can even participate in interactive programs where you can get up close and personal with these wonderful creatures. The best part about the place is that all the animals up on display have been rescued from one place or another. These injured or lost sea creatures find a new lease of life in this lovely aquarium that is a must visit especially with children.

  • This little place was one of the biggest highlights of our stay. The staff here are amazing, both my children got to hold lizards and snakes and stroke an iguana. Worth every penny. We asked loads of daft questions and every question was answered in depth. The animals are looked after to a very high standard. Most of the animals are rescue animals. Absolutely brilliant.

  • A pleasent but small place for an aquarium and rescue shelter. but full of surprises. The aquarium is a bit on the small side, but the displays are really spectacular. The staff give you detailed description of the fishes animals and reptiles. Lots of the animals roam around the centre, especially a large tortoise. A detailed description of the blind turtle, followed by meet and greet some pythons and lizards. All entrance money goes to the upkeep of the aquarium and feeding the displays. We'll worth a visit.

  • Excellent little gem and well worth a visit if you like reptiles. I was able to hold a number of reptiles and snakes. The staff are very attentive and ultimately the work that they do cannot be understated (in terms of rescuing animals). Also if you need advice about taking home a cat or dog fr the island i would advise speaking to them as they can assist in this area.

  • Very well priced entrance fee, you get to watch the animals have their breakfast. You can get to hold some of the animals. I'm so glad there's people out there willing to rescue these animals. Keep up the good work.

  • A small but very interesting place. Quite a lot of inhabitants. Attractive staff. Thanks for the interesting experience. The home photo archive is complemented with great pictures with various snakes and reptiles. Thank you very much!
