The Fortified Church in Cristian Village has a rich and intriguing history going round it. The two underground tunnels were used by the villagers during the city was on siege so that they could flee to the monastery or to the forest. You will also see the famous Bacon Tower of the Fortified Church which was used to store food supply for the inhabitants especially during an attack. The Evangelical church boasts of a Gothic architecture dating back to 1495’s. The fortification of the church is also ensured by the grey stone walls on two rows surrounding the main building.
