The Corps of Discovery Welcome Center was opened in 2001 and works with the main aim of sharing and promoting the unique and diverse history, culture, and the landscape of southeast South Dakota and northeast Nebraska. The facility has friendly and knowledgeable staff members who offer information regarding the things that are there to do and see in the area. The staff knows the region well and provides free suggestions of activities that would interest all. There’s also a very neat nature trail at the intersection of which the Corps of Discovery Welcome Center is situated. The centre also has several items for sale including gifts and souvenirs.
