Culebra Island Adventure - Review
This is nothing but the activities that you can enjoy on this Caribbean Island and are administered by the Tourism Department of the nation. These are further carried on by the several eco tours that are organized. The activities that you can enjoy are mainly swimming, kayaking and snorkeling given the water filled locations in here. the adventure tours, as the name suggests include all kinds of water activities that are either new to you or you have been scared of doing before. This is the main reason for which most of the tourists come here apart from just sightseeing.

Culebra Island Adventure, Culebra Reviews
Without fail, this was the highlight to our week long vacation in PR. Incredibly organized, knowledgeable, professional and authentic in their passion. The experience with the ferry was as easy as it gets. Our confirmation numbers were text to us, as promised, by 6:30 am. Gaining the Ferry Ticket was a simple as a walk to the counter, by-passing the much longer line to buy them. We arrived early to the ferry and found ourselves in line with everyone, threw down our blankets and took a nap on our noodles while we waited for onboarding for the ferry. Expect everyone to be doing just that. You get in line to wait, and everyone makes themselves comfortable, so we did the same. Feel free to bring your chairs, coolers, blankets and all beach essentials, because everyone does. The ferry ride was slow and steady, and since I am prone to motion sickness, I took a Dramamine and took a nap for the ride. Ferry left at 9:30 am, we arrived at the port at 7:30 am and we reached Culebra by 10:35. Once we arrived, Laura had her sign and greeted me by name with a warm smile, intense energy and presence. Her lead is easy to follow. Short walk to the bus and we were on our way. The ride to Playa Tamarindo was quick. Once we arrived, Laura and Damion gave us clear instructions on what to do, what to expect, and fitted us all in our fins and masks. Never moving too quickly to understand but I felt with a pace that was fitting for the experience, as to not waste a single moment of the adventure! Once we were in the water, Laura shepherded us over to where she knew the sea turtles would be! We saw our first within 10 min of being in the water. We experienced seeing 10 stingrays in a grouping, star fish, unique spider like fish and several sea turtles. We took turns diving down for pictures and exploration. It was amazing! The water was warm and choppy, but so easy to float and get lost in. After an hour of snorkeling, we exited the water and were greeted with nourishment. Fresh homemade, local Puerto Rican style spread sandwiches and even a vegetarian option for the vegetarians in our group, apples, chips, water and hands down the most fabulously tasting can of Coke I have ever had! Perhaps that was the Culebra magic sprinkled into it! We ate and talked, connected with our new found friends and learned about why Laura and Damion decided to create this experience after they elected to “retire”. Once lunch was complete, we were shuttled over to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Playa de Flamenco. Truly, pictures and words cannot frame what this amazing piece of the planet holds. The softest, finest, warmest sand, white and light gray in color. Turquoise and deep blue, clear warm Caribbean waters. Everyone in this beaches presence had contagious smiles from ear to ear. The energy was joyful and relaxed with excitement. It was truly paradise for all senses. There were several kiosks to purchases drinks and food from as well, and we enjoyed some delicious mango margaritas. Headstands, handstands, floating, relaxing, smiling, sharing and experiencing this marvel was such a delight; truly the highlight to our vacation. We were afforded a full 3 hours at Playa de Flamenco and at 4 pm, Laura was there to collect us all to shuttle us back to board the ferry. Another easy and smooth experience and we all slept on the way back. Overall, the experience was profoundly beautiful and cathartic. I have deep appreciation for Culebra Island Adventures and what they are offering. I am honored to have experienced their passion and knowledge. I am already planning to come back next June and look forward to rebooking with CIA!
Highly recommended. Great deal and guaranteed immersion into the underwater beauty of Culebra. Laura and her husband are so nice and freely post dozens of professional photographs of the underwater excursion. Lunch provided and a trip after snorkeling to one of the most beautiful white sand beaches.
This was the best experience of our trip to Puerto Rico, hands down. Look no further than this excursion! From start to finish, the trip was exceedingly organized and well run. We felt well taken care of, even down to personalized fitting of the masks and fins! The exclusive reef that you are taken to is outstanding, I was amazed by the beautiful colors and sea life that we saw (Including numerous sea turtles, a school of blue tang, squid, and octopus, a sting ray...just to name a few). You will not be disappointed if you book with them, this is an outstanding company and well worth it!
Laura is a very good guide to show everything to us. I felt the passion she had during the trip! I will recommend to anyone who wants to go snorkeling on the island.
This is one of the best excursions I've been on. My girlfriend and I visited at the end of February 2016 and we had an amazing time. We had turtles come with in inches of us. We were in a nice small group, everything was all included with no problems. We even got to try some new food! Small husband/wife company and they are both absolutely amazing. Would recommend for anyone wanting to go to culebra. Ferry tickets are taken care of so there is no line waiting.
