Qenko - Review
The four distinct though related period rocks of Inca collectively called as q’enko is a highly visited tourist destinations in the city. One can find a lot of tourists as well as vendors in the area. Although the compound is tiny, it possesses large as well as distinct formations of rock. You can trail through the tunnel which is cut right through the rocks. Out of all the ruins which are found in the city, the ruins of Q’enko are basic and quite simple. However, it possesses many hidden elements. One of the highlighting features of Q’enko rocks is that these rocks create a shadow of the puma during winter solstice.
The surrounding regions of Q’enko as well as the altar within the caves are breath taking. A walk around Q’enko is peaceful. It is one of the most preferred sites around the city. though it is a very small place, it is still quite distinct. Man-made caves, unique stone cuttings, the arrangements of stones together enhance the magic of this place. A visit to Q’enko is surely very interesting and mesmerizing.

Qenko, Cusco Reviews
Little bit of a hidden tourist destination that the professional guides took us to since we had some extra time. We went a little bit after sunset and the views of the city lights from the high elevation was amazing. The large Rock faces were quite stunning but the highlight of the day was getting to moving through the tunnels. It is quite dark and slippery so having your phone flashlight on is a must have.
Another brilliant exposure to Incan culture and their connectedness to the earth. At this site you’ll get to go subterranean and experience a sacred connection to the underworld. The location also has amazing views of Cuzco below
Great place for a day off! Here you can enjoy some really fresh air and pure nature. Have a picnic with your friends, spend some time just looking at the trees, is surprisingly relaxing.
Hidden spot. Worth a visit - especially if you are already going to Sacsayhuaman. It helps to have a guide as there is not much signage once you enter.
Walking distance from Sacsayhuamán so try to get dropped here before if taking a public transport (site included in the Boleto Turístico). There is the main Q'enqo quite touristy on the Weekend, and the "Chico Q'enqo" close by, less popular. Both will give you nice views over the city.
