Sacsayhuaman, Cusco Reviews

  • This is a great place to go! It has amazingly big stones in its structure in a large complex built over 500 years ago. Once in Cusco, this is a must.

  • The place itself is very nice, however a little smaller than expected. Unfortunately this place too is overrun by tourists, so it's hard to get good pictures. However it's a must visit in the Cusco region and in my opinion one of he most interested sites. Make sure that you go with a good guide, because there's a lot of interesting information about the place.

  • Really very impressive sight - note the absolutely gigantic rocks, arranged in lightning bolt. Really makes you ponder what the Incas could have accomplished had they a few hundred more years to go on before the Spanish arrived. This is bare bones so likely better seen with a guide. It is a great preview on the way to Manchu picchu!

  • Amazing site. A must if you are in Cusco and have 2 hours during the day. So impressive how the ancients build all those colossal walls, temples, water reservatories, etc. It gives a fantastic new perspective on the Inca's society and worship. Get a guide, from 30-50 soles, in order to fully appreciate and understand what you will see.

  • Wow. Huge stones and a great back story. The place is shaped like lightning and "pumped" water up to the top. Get a good local guide to hear more.
