Sacsayhuaman, Cusco Reviews
Amazing views of the city. A lot of walking and no matter how fit you think you are the altitude kills you so give yourself time. Also bring binoculars as you can see the whole city. I would suggest this over the statue of San Cristobal. Great fun.
Amazing spot to get a beautiful view of the mountains and the city. Lots of little nooks and crannies along a wide variety of paths. Be aware of the altitude as moving too quickly results in extreme short of breath for those not acclimated. Also steep drops and slippery Rock faces so stay on marked paths. Not too many visitors climb up to get the best views so I highly recommend doing so. No information placards so highly recommend getting a professional guide as well.
Great place to spend up to 3 hours if you have the time (or 1 hour or so if you don't). Makes for a good hike up from the city center, but make sure you're acclimatized to the altitude first. Otherwise take a taxi or bus. I'd recommend either going with a guide or just reading up on the history of the place first, as there is no signage. Besides the ruins there is an amazing spot that looks over all of Cusco.
Interesting tourist site worth seeing if you are in the area. Either research the history or go with a "good" guide that will explain the history and significance. Notice the size of the stone architecture and then have fun discussing theories about how the stones were moved into place without the inclusion of aliens lol.
Beautiful wall and viewpoint overlooking Cusco! There’s always so many alpacas roaming around, and the park/area is enormous, and guides are walking around if you’re interested in the tour. Can spend up to 2 hours there.
