The Templo De San Francisco De Asis will take you back to the Andean Baroque Route during 1572 when the Viceroy Francisco de Toledo had built a square shaped tower with stone masonry. Now the convent acts as an art and history museum displaying exquisite paintings by eminent personalities like Basilio Santa Cruz, Marcos Zapata, and Diego Quispe. The 12 x 9 square meter monumental canvas was created by Juan Espinoza de los Monteros depicting the genealogy of the Franciscans. The carved cedar choir of the Templo De San Francisco De Asis also catches attention, which was built by Antonio Paz, Isidro Inka, and Friar Montes.
