Haus Visbeck has a tempestuous history and in the year 1338, was first mentioned in a document as a manor. This is what makes the entire court mystical today even though the old manor in its former from isn’t preserved anymore. Formerly constructed on two islands, from the fortification, only the seventeenth-century coaching inn’s western part has managed to survive. St. Mary’s Chapel was added in the 18th century. Today, Haus Visbeck is owned privately and is used partly as a holiday apartment and majorly for horse breeding.
