Ba Na Hills - Review
This hill station west of Da Nang is the local favourite weekend retreat. It was founded in 1919 by the French. Since accommodation is not upscale, or even well organised, the best way to visit is on a day trip. And though you can drive up the mountain, it's MUCH better to take the funicular which rises 400 metres. You can board the cable car at the address given in the tips and warnings. You'll be clicking pics of the landscape every second.
The attraction is nothing like Vietnam itself. At the top, you'll find a replica French Provincial Town, a funicular railway that rises further up the mountain, a luge track that'll take you downhill again. Close to the 27 metre tall Shakyamuni statue is the Debay wine cellar. The 7-hectare Le Jardind'Amour is a lovely flower garden; check out the terraced spring area. Then there's Fantasy Park, based on the novels of Jules Verne. There's the Alpine Coaster, the only double spiral roller coaster track in the country.
Landmarks to check out:
LinhUng Pagoda, Linh Chua LinhTu Temple, LinhPhongTu Tower, the Campanile, the Tombstone Temple, the Ba Shrine, and the TruVuTraQuan.

Ba Na Hills, Da Nang Reviews
Pay your entrance fee and 99% of attractions are free. The Cable Cars are spectacular. Up Down All Around can describe the Cable Cars and the Technology is ultra safe. Even the Beer is free if you grab a voucher. The French Village is an authentic original of spectacular French Architecture, created prior to the defeat of the French back in the 1954. Costs of a full day visit are well within the budget of the average European. My visit with my Vietnamese Girlfriend was such a great pleasure.
AVOID. Crazy prices. Disrespectful. Controlling. Unfriendly. As a police-state. Good if u enjoy industrial mass-tourism. Worst experience in Vietnam.
Quite a unique place that's hard to describe until you see it. It's totally worth the admission price of 700,000 Dong once you realize your admission includes so many cool things to do. In addition to riding in the world's longest cable car, which is impressive in itself, you also get to see the creatively designed Golden Bridge that stretches out over the top of the mountain more than 3,000 feet in the air. Then, take another short cable car ride to see what I describe as an Asian style version of Disney's Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida, USA. It's cheesy, but good touristy fun. Be sure to check out the entertainment section that feature several floors of amusement games, rides and video games that are all included for free as part of your admission. Even the video games are on free play mode. Don't pass by Da Nang, Vietnam without stopping by this place.
Good views of the Ba Na hills. The golden bridge is smaller than expected but still looks amazing. There isn't really any vegetarian food at the resort though. Also good is very expensive (for Vietnam anyway) still worth the trip up to the top. Plus the cable cart is a good chance to see some waterfalls and great views of the bay.
Great place to visit. Many exhibits to see. Good place for kid, family or couple. Watch out for your belonging since traveling. Service here is actually nice and friendly compared to the north, rude and ugly. Food, drinks are good. But if u can bring your own food, it would be better. Clean restroom is one plus point. Worth every penny. Would recommend to anyone.
