About Dragon Bridge, Da Nang
Sticking to the facts first: the six laned Dragon Bridge that spans the Han River is aptly named for its 666 metre length and 37.5 metre width, its $88 million cost, the 2,500 LED lights that illuminate it at night, the fact that it greatly boosted the city's economy by making travel to surround regions simpler… and the gigantic bridge-spanning dragon that actually breathes fire. The great yellow dragon has made the bridge a tourist attraction in its own right. At 9pm every evening, there's a great spurt of fire for two minutes, followed by a surge of water for three minutes. It's an impressive show.

Dragon Bridge, Da Nang Reviews
Great attraction. Beautiful design. Sitting and watching the Dragon breath fire, then blow water was awesome. Nice to have done so with around 30 000 spectators. Area is clean and the restaurants, shops etc are well prepared for the show. I would recommend getting to the bridge early as there will be 1000's of people waiting to see the show.
This bridge is a great free attraction. At 9pm on Saturday and Sunday it shoots fire and then water out of the mouth. Traffic is closed for 20-15 minutes while this is going on. There are restaurants and food stalls nearby with good views. Even when it's not shooting fire it still looks great.
It's a free attraction. Best to see it at night. A good photo stop of maximum 15 minutes. The body of the dragon would change colours at night.
An interesting and unexpected sight. When I was asked to see a bridge I wasn’t sure to be excited or not. Watching the fire-breathing spectacle quickly changed my opinion for the better. The show is put on at 9pm to 9:15pm every Saturday and Sunday and involves the dragon head breathing fire and water. Throughout the show, the dragon changes colors which makes for good low light photography material. Expect a crowd each time the show comes on and do turn up early because the bridge is normally closed during the show which can mess up traffic.
Best cheap thrill in Da Nang on a weekend night. The Dragon show start at 9 and it is free. Traffic on the bridge is closed on Sat and Sunday at 9 pm and the dragon will breathe out fire. It is quite an experience and worth the effort. The ending is a surprise, best to leave it at that and have a fun time.
