Dragon Bridge - Review

Sticking to the facts first: the six laned Dragon Bridge that spans the Han River is aptly named for its 666 metre length and 37.5 metre width, its $88 million cost, the 2,500 LED lights that illuminate it at night, the fact that it greatly boosted the city's economy by making travel to surround regions simpler… and the gigantic bridge-spanning dragon that actually breathes fire. The great yellow dragon has made the bridge a tourist attraction in its own right. At 9pm every evening, there's a great spurt of fire for two minutes, followed by a surge of water for three minutes. It's an impressive show.

Dragon Bridge, Da Nang Reviews

  • Nice bridge to look at during the nighttime. Not sure if it's a popular place since there wasn't many people walking around when I was here. Limited colors on the bridge.

  • Very fun bridge to look at. The drangon portion of the bridge has color changing lights that turn on every night. However, on the weekend the dragon also puts on a fire and water show. Spraying both out it's mouth starting at 9pm. If you can make time to watch it. Very cool.

  • Beautiful bridge. come here when saturday and sunday at 9pm, but u better come before 9, to get the best spot to watch the dragon fire show.

  • Good place to chill in the evening. There is an information which the staff is very helpful. You can get a map there. There are many shops and restaurants along the way which are so fantastic. Very recommend!

  • This structure is iconic in Da Nang. It is worth seeing the bridge at night since it lights up and it is much cooler at night. There are plenty to do around the area. Grab yourself some sinh to (smoothie) or tra sua (milk tea) and gaze at the bridge as you sip away your tasty cold beverage. The sight and sound of the river makes gazing at the bridge much more relaxing.
