Sticking to the facts first: the six laned Dragon Bridge that spans the Han River is aptly named for its 666 metre length and 37.5 metre width, its $88 million cost, the 2,500 LED lights that illuminate it at night, the fact that it greatly boosted the city's economy by making travel to surround regions simpler… and the gigantic bridge-spanning dragon that actually breathes fire. The great yellow dragon has made the bridge a tourist attraction in its own right. At 9pm every evening, there's a great spurt of fire for two minutes, followed by a surge of water for three minutes. It's an impressive show.

  • The symbol of Danang. Because the big dragon statue is across the bridge, It can be recognized immediately. There will be special fire-water show from 9 p.m. on weekends. The dragon spits fire and water during the show, You need to prepare a raincoat or a umbrella , If you don't like getting wet. ;-) You can find good restaurants and pubs near the bridge! Enjoy your trip!

  • I liked the city of Da Nang. The lights, the Nightlife. Just beside the bridge during some nights there were people dancing. Saturday and Sunday 9pm the the dragon spits fire🐉 🔥. It will be really crowded, so you should arrived at least 8h40pm. It starts with fire (2 times the day I was there) and water after.

  • One of the 5 bridges crossing Han River. From this bridge you can see the other bridges in the distant. The dragon comprises of metal structures built above and below the bridge. The dragon's head is facing east ie the sea. The eastern end of the bridge has a spiral staircase on either side (to esplanade). The tail end of the bridge (west) has an underground pass where wheelchairs can go through. I estimate its length to be 600m but it is slightly exhaustive to walk through due to its loop shape. The wind can be very strong here so take care of your caps and hats.

  • Cool to see the lights and people gathering. Fire and water spray out of its mouth, and not too much more happens. Over in about 7 mins. Nice area to grab a meal/drink along the river afterwards.

  • Very nice. Not too crowded. On Saturday it breathes fire and water at 9PM. Lots of street food to be bought in the area where you sit and watch. The people selling drinks come to you and bring you what you order. Tips: > Get some food > Then find a spot to sit > then flag down a drink sales person > enjoy!
