Consisting of more than 4000 shops, Seomun Market is the largest street market in Daegu, South Korea. The market specializes in textile items and fabrics like silk, satin, linen, cotton and knitted woolen clothes. It is an interesting place, especially for foreign visitors as they can shop for artefacts and local Korean clothing at cheap prices. The market is also known for the lip-smacking street food served by numerous stalls. Exotic dishes like fried octopus, chicken feet, deep-fried milk and noodle fishcake are sure to wow the visitors. Despite being a street market, the place is well-equipped with modern amenities like a parking area, WiFi, a lounge, a snacks bar and a children’s play area.
