This is the only place I go in DFW other than the one "outdoor" range a few miles away when the weather is really nice outside. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Great looking location since the remodel, and definitely the cleanest lanes. Climate controlled, and very comfortable. I've always come with a small group, and we bring our own firearms and ammo, so I can't attest to how good a deal their packages are. But, the selection of rental guns seems quite extensive. Overall, a great place that lets you walk out the having had a wonderful shooting experience!
I've come here several times in the past few months and have had a great experience every time. The staff is extremely helpful and the place is run efficiently and safely. They didn't hesitate to answer any questions and offer me advice. Will definitely continue coming and recommending to friends.
I went to this gun range specifically because I was informed you could fire an AR-15 or shot gun at this range. I arrived just before 10:00 AM when it opened. There was a class going on occupying half the lanes, but they finished up in just a few minutes. I filled out a computer based safety waiver and by the time I paid my range fee, my lane was already clear. The climate was comfortable, there was a range safety gentlemen who instructed me on a couple of features to the target machine and let me know I needed to have the target out to the 25 yard mark when firing my carbine. From the first person that greeted me, the person that "rang me up", the range official, to the person that returned my identification after I was finished, they were all very professional and friendly. I had a great time and will be back very soon.
The facility is certainly nice, but I ran into one serious problem: they lost my driver's license. I've been to a couple of other ranges in the Dallas area, and I never had to surrender my driver's license. Here, I did, and I don't know why. I used all of my own equipment, including my own foam ear plugs and eye protection. They asked for my driver's license while I went shooting, and I forgot to retrieve it after finishing my time. I came back the next day and found out they lost it. I found out that for licenses left at the range by forgetful people like me, all they do is take the licenses, put them in an 3x5 card box (unsecured, sitting out on a table behind the counter, like no one could ever break into the facility after hours), and those licenses just sit there for 7 days before they bother to call the customer to tell them they've left their license there. 7. Days. When I confronted them about my missing license, they were very confident in their protocol of putting all forgotten licenses in this little box despite the obvious failure of this practice. They suggested that they may have given to another customer accidentally but lifted not a finger to investigate how that might've happened. I, the customer, had to suggest they look through their STACK of forgotten licenses and see if anyone else with the same last name as mine could've forgotten theirs. No dice. My license just UP and DISAPPEARED. If you come here and give your license to them while you shoot, make damn sure you remember to get it back because these knuckleheads can't be relied on to not lose it. Losing a driver's license is no small thing, but I got little help or support from this facility in retrieving it. Sure, I got free passes at the range, but that's peanuts compared to possible identity theft. Lastly, when all of this was going down, some red-bearded guy at the counter seemed like he couldn't care less. The overwhelming attitude I got from the staff at the counter was that of a shoulder shrug.
Had an absolutely fantastic time here today. My girlfriend and I are visiting from Australia and we have zero gun experience. The guy that served us named Parker was an excellent teacher and went above and beyond in ensuring that we had a fun and safe experience. We got to shoot a few pistols and an assault rifle. The staff were great and answered all our questions! If you're a beginner, I would definitely recommend coming here
