Prairie Moraine County Park Reviews & Ratings
Huge dog park with many trails for lots of distance options. Well maintained trails, mostly wood chips with gravel driveway to top of tower hill. Beloved by many, yet never feels crowded because of size of park. I love this park for a great connection with nature for me and great exercise for my pups.
A staple for when I'm in town visiting family! This park is spacious with beautiful trails and all the room for our four (and three ;) ) legged friends to run around.
This place is amazing. It's a big off leash dog park. You dont have to worry about other people not liking dogs while you're here and your dog has so much space to roam and explore. Even with all the cars in the parking lot on a nice Saturday morning, there was more than plenty of running space and trails for all the dogs. Wish there was a place like this closer to our home!
Among all the dog parks in the great Madison area (and by that, I mean of course the ones I've visited with my dog), Prairie Moraine stands out. It's huge (the perimeter trail is approx 1.8 miles) with crisscrossing trails sufficient to allow you to avoid problematic dogs and still have lots of social opportunity - or near isolation if that's what you prefer. The trails are mostly wood chips or grass and are well maintained. There's a woodsy feel throughout. A great experience for both the people and the pups!
Gorgeous park! Along with the Prairie there is also woods. A good place to go to relax and enjoy nature.
