Basic, clean room. Friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants. Easy highway access. Room was somewhat outdated, but worked well for a quick overnight stop on a road trip. I would stay there again.
05/21/17 - Booked a room over the phone a few days ago. I booked the room for two adults and a baby, needing a crib or pack and play. Called ahead to confirm and the office staff was super friendly. Upon arrival I was quickly checked in. The room smelt like Must and Mold. Pack and play was in the room. Realized the room didn't have a fridge (Needed for baby supplies) and asked the desk to upgrade. Desk staff lady offered to upgrade at no cost to their King room with fridge and Microwave. Was very impressed with free upgrade. Swapped rooms and the new room was bigger, but smelt even worse. Carpet was stained and moist. Dead bug found on carpet and another in the bed. Would never stay in this location again. Very outdated and scary. Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. Gave two stars purely for the Staffs willingness to work with us and she did not put up a fight for a refund. Actually apologized and asked if we would like a different room, but we refused due to both previous rooms being horrible. Received a Cancellation of room email before even leaving the parking lot. Very nice lady.
March 2017. Room 131 smelled like smoke, though the property is supposed to be non-smoking. We switched into room 208 which smelled like mold (strongly) and concentrated near the sink area. We found a crawling bug in the bed, not sure what type. Very loud with other guests passing by outside and talking/smoking outside our door. Stained walls, carpets, linens. I did not feel clean or comfortable and am terrified my belongings have bugs in them from being in the room overnight. Do yourself a favor and spring the extra $10-20 to stay across the street at the best western or Hampton inn. The management said "sorry for the trouble" and took $10 off the bill. Not worth the discomfort.
Good as a "budget" hotel. Room was clean enough and the AC worked. Staff was friendly. Bathroom fan/light was very loud.
The location is great for Danville attractions, keep in mind that knobels is 25 minute drive away. Rooms are clean although one of our rooms has a stale A/C smell. Overall great stay in clean affordable rooms.
