Great and historic place. Final resting ground of Tending Norway. This place has a museum showing off mountain ranges and history of mountaineering. It's a very inspirational place. It also has wall climbing,for which they charge a nominal 30 rupees. And there is also a show, played 2 or 3 times everyday.
One of the 'must not miss place' in Darjeeling tour. Most local sight seeing tours cover this place in their program with zoo. It has a two storied museum entirely dedicated to mountaineering & Everest expedition. There are curio shop, tea & snacks joint and a real rock climbing wall with attending persons for help.
