  • It's a very nice zoo at Darjeeling with a huge varieties of wild animals. The structure is very beautiful as you can see the cages from a front view as well as from the lower view. Because the road goes up hill and the cages are beside the road. Basically the animals are from Himalayan Mountain territory. The cage signs are in good shapes and it will take one hour to take the whole tour inside the zoo. You can also find some panda in this zoo. You can take young kids at this zoo. They will like this place very much.

  • Nice zoo. If you have kids with you, this is a must-do place in Darjeeling. Some of the animals are kept in small enclosures but most are kept in wide open ones where you can see then doing routine things. You have to walk quite a lot (1-2 hours) but not too up/down and the cold weather of Darjeeling helps. The star attractions are the Red Panda and Snow Leopard. The whole place looks well-maintained and clean.

  • There's a good collection of birds and wild cats. Ofcourse to see the Royal Bengal Tiger, one needs patience, more than anything else because most of the time, the tiger is resting choosing to ignore all the attention! We also saw a black panther, fox, deer and some other interesting species. Washrooms are clean and well maintained. It's not a huge park, so you could potentially complete it within two hours if you skipped the common animals and move on to the rare species.
