Landesmuseum is the reflection of a traditional natural museum in the city of Darmstadt. The glorious piece of architecture houses a wide collection of unique things from a broad sweep of European countries on display. In the museum you can glance at Dutch paintings of the 17th century, stained glass, engravings of natural history, German altars, mammal fossils, significant art and more.
The museum is also home to a pleasant cafe in its basement that serves lovely drinks and snacks. The 17th to 20th century galleries are a major highlight in the museum and should not be missed.

Landesmuseum, Darmstadt Reviews - Write a Review
While not as extensive or large as the museums in Berlin or Munich it offers a diverse range of artifacts from all periods of history. For this reason its a good place to bring children or families.
Nice museum. Lot of different periods from prehistoric and fossils to Rosetta. With medieval armor, Roman cork mock-up, stone and geological event display.
Fascinating exhibits, however not hands-on at all. It's presented like an art gallery, with all the advantages and disadvantages that entails.
Amazing museum, everything from zoological and paleontological exhibition modern art. Really enjoyed my time there.
Lovely exhibition of the Rosetta. Everybody must come and see it!
