Fannie Bay Gaol Museums - Review
What is now a museum was previously a fully functional prison. Even today, you can see for yourself, the gallows where they hung convicts sentenced to death by hanging. Regarded as a historic landmark in the Northern Territory, many visitors have claimed that the museum could have been in a better shape. Being in operation for almost a century, as you walk through the cell blocks, each prison contains a story, one more chilling than the other if not the same. There’s a separate cell block from women, lepers, juveniles and refugees.

Fannie Bay Gaol Museums, Darwin Reviews
Gold coin donation to get in which is nothing, helps towards current reno. Great piece of NT history. Helpful guy at front to give you a rundown on the place. Cells would have looked good if set up like they were in the day.. like Alcatraz.
Well worth checking out. A bit creepy in areas but that only adds to the nostalgia of the visit.
What an amazing piece of NT history. Take your time to wander around and "feel" the atmosphere
Great piece of history. Is currently getting updated so some parts might be shut. Well worth checking out
