Mindil Beach - Review

As a tourist, after seeing some of the top tourist attractions of Darwin, there will be a time when you comprehend just how much the city has seen and survived and feel a twinge of sadness and sympathy. For a change of pace, stroll down to the Mindil beach and see the city come alive as couple, singles, family and senior citizens all gather on the best beach in Darwin to enjoy the setting sun and then something delectable from one or many of the food stalls that line the promenade. Grab a rug, find a nice spot or walk along the shore and just take in the sights and sounds of the city. While you’re at it, browse through the infamous sunset markets and maybe, pick up a souvenir- edible or otherwise.

Mindil Beach, Darwin Reviews

  • Mindil Beach a must place to visit if you are in Darwin. Great choices of food and breathtaking views. It's full of people, culture and has great vibes. There is seasonal Mindil Beach Market. This market is the largest in Darwin and by far one of the best markets I have ever been to.

  • Not a beach goer myself but by chance I stumble onto a scenic and magnificent piece of landmark that truly gives you something to remember by. I never thought that beach could have so many delightful lively entertainment, my perception was beach is a lazy sluggish place where not so resourceful people go ingenuously and sluggishly to waste their time. This has open up my conception and insight into attractive places and grasp the colourful splendor they have to offer that has eluded me because of my farsightedness. Apart from the bustling activities surrounding the serene sight they also has a night market comes nightfall. This flea market comes with live performances and a great number of stores selling hand made products and those imported from nearby. Of course there are plenty of hawker stores selling burgers and different varieties of Asian food. Its nice, colourful and very inspiring and a pleasurable stopover. Definitely will be back during my next vacation.

  • Amazing during cracker night. Only state where you can buy and let off fireworks. Lots of fireworks on or near the beach.

  • The best foodie market ive been to. All foods from all around the world.. Very friendly people. The best sunsets ive ever seen. A must place to see..

  • Great place to see sunset. On Thursday and Sunday they have market's . Great atmosphere. Stunning sunsets too.
