Dasol is a small town in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. Although popular for the production of salt, Dasol awaits to be discovered by tourists. The highlight of this cove is the Cabacungan cave. The water is much cooler here and you can easily swim in it. There is an opening overhead, which offers the chance of cliff diving into the water. 5. Discover the treasures of sea by snorkeling at Culebra Island

Culebra Island or Colibra Island as it is more commonly called, probably has the softest of sand. It is blessed with abundant serenity and treats you to breathtaking vistas at every hour of the day. One of the best ways to spend time at Culebra Island is to go snorkeling. However, you may have to get your personal equipment and gear. You may even indulge in other activities like kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. 

6. Trek your way to Salabusuban Falls

There is no escaping water when you are in Dasol. Salabusuban Falls is another alluring attraction here. The cascading waterfall makes for a spectacular sight to behold. You will, however, have to trek a little to reach the falls. At the end of the trek, you will be welcomed by a mesmerizing vista of the Salabusuban Falls.

7. Collect a unique experience of caving

Dasol has a number of fascinating caves. These include Cequiro Cave, Pot-tot Cave, Ilang Cave, and Simmimbaan Cave. There are also a few unexplored caves around Dasol in Barangay Amalbalan, Alilao, Petal, and Osmena. If you are an extreme adventurist, you may set out to explore these caves. It is, however, advised to have an experienced person alongside while caving.  

8. Visit the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse

This is an old Spanish lighthouse in Bolinao which is located about 56 kilometer from Dasol. It would take about an hour to reach Cape Bolinao Lighthouse from Dasol. The lighthouse dates back to 1905 and is considered to be one of the tallest of its kind in Philippines. You must climb the lighthouse and upon reaching the top you will be welcomed by panoramic views of surrounding landscapes. 

9. Explore the Hundred Islands National Park

Hundred Islands National Park is located about 45 kilometer away from Dasol and would take almost an hour to reach. Just as the name suggests, this national park has a total of 124 islands at low tide and 123 at high tide. This is the first national park in Alaminos, Pangasinan and only three of its islands have been developed for the tourists. These islands are Governor Island, Quezon Island, and Children's Island. A few recreational activities that you may indulge in at Hundred Islands National Park include hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, and camping.

10. Stop by a Dasol Salt Farm

There are about thousand salt farms in the region. While you are in Dasol, you must visit one to observe the unique process of salt making. Stopping by a farm, you would see the farmers working their way into producing salt. Now-a-days, visit to a Dasol salt farm is being included in many tour packages.
