Stopped in for the quick tour. Doesn't take but a few minutes. No A/C so was very hot in there. You can taste 3 of their rums. Average. I bought their Gold Reserve (not available to try during tasting, so I took a chance). Not very good (and $55 a fifth!) - all I tasted was the bourbon from the bourbon cask it aged in for a year - nothing of the rum. Not worth the money. But they're a new company, perhaps they'll get better.
Great variety of rum! Very friendly! Make sure to sample the coffee rum!
A must see when coming to the island! Tours on the half hour with a knowledgeable staff.
We went there and really enjoyed the experience. Learned about the rum making process and the uniqueness of Daufuskie Rum. Afterwards, there was the rum tasting and we ended up buying two bottles to take home.
Must tour. Great story and process of distillery! Great tasting as well.
